Battlefield 3Since a few days a rumor provides a lot of discussion material and the reason is the premium service for Battlefield 3 therefore a lot people fear it could get the same like Call of Dutys - ELITE service from DICE. These fears are totally unfounded according to the Community page Battlefieldo.com then there will be no subscription model (paying monthly) it will be done per a once payment.

Many players see the beginning of the end of the action-shooter Battlefield 3 franchise if the premium service would come similar to the model DICE is providing for "Call of Duty - ELITE". This would mean that subscribers would get extra content for the service compared to a normal player and a normal player could get these extra content much later (more playing time), or has to pay a charge for it. However, as already mentioned at community page: "This announced Battlefield premium subscription model should not be a payment every month but a onetime payment."

Battlefield 3

This means every BF3 account has to pay once only for Battlefield premium service and therefore receives free access to all five DLCs at each of their release, including early access, and various optical adjustments for uniforms, weapons, dog tags and so on. Therefore the debate about this service certainly lost some of its reasons. So if these rumors will be confirmed either from DICE or EA, nothing speaks anymore against such a service - especially since the DLC's have indeed themselves a certain price, and so is the price for the upcoming DLC ' Close Quarters', for example, according to Amazon France € 15!

Yet, for all euphoria it must be mentioned here again that all of the information provided to us are  only rumors. These rumors are neither denied nor confirmed by DICE or EA and therefore it still remains open to everything.
